Measured to be harder therefore training for fitness and good health conditions are necessary. Thorang La pass is one of the highest mountain passes in the world. Combining the trek with another gem of Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is an adventure mixed. It is a complete round trek of the Annapurna Area. Variety of weather conditions including warm and cold. From the low valley, river systems around Pokhara to the high alpine environment is experienced.

Trekking beyond the mountains in the high valley of Tibetan Buddhism. Days of trekking are rewarded when we reach the highest and ultimate point in the route. Trek drops down to Muktinath. Drive back along the in the Kali Gandaki Valley through the deepest gorge up to the commercial town of Tatopani. Trek to Ghorepani and Poon Hill. Another magic awaits us at Poon Hill Viewpoint. Another unforgettable experience is the breathtaking views of the mountain in the base camp of Annapurna

Itinerary - Day by day

Day 1. Kathmandu: 1,400 m

Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to the hotel.


Day 2. Jagat: 1,300 m

Set off after an early breakfast for a scenic drive westwards. Lunch on the way. Drive further to Syange beside the Marsyangdi River crossing a suspension bridge. Drive to Jagat in Marsyangdi Valley. Stay in Jagat.

Day 3. Dharapani: 1,860 m

By trekking around the trails of Annapurna massif is the beginning of our trek. A steady climb to Chamje, before descending to cross a suspension river bridge. Ascend again to we enter the Buddhist region of Manang at the village of Tal. During the trek, we realize a raging river slows down to a lake-like appearance. Trek further to cross the river again to reach Dharapani.

Ascent 1,060 m – descent 500 m

Day 4. Upper Pisang: 3,300 m

We cross the Marsyangdi several times today, in a steep gorge section of the river. The path is sometimes built into the cliffside on wooden piers. Climbing through a forested ridge beyond Buradhan, we reach a more open valley with some pasture, where we cross the river to its north bank, to reach the terraced fields of Upper Pisang (3300m). We have great views of the north side of Annapurna 2.

Day 5. Braga: 3,450 m-Ghyaru: 3,720 m-Ngawal: 3,680 m- Manang: 3,520 m

Easy trek for an hour to begin before we cross a suspension bridge. Steep and zigzag uphill trek to the village of Ghyaru for a drink and a spectacular view of many mountains. Easy walk up to Ngawal Village. After lunch, descend for a half an hour and trek to Braga Village. Visit Braga Monastery then trek to Manang Village.

Ascent 450 m – descent 50 m

  6-7 hours


Day 6. Manang: 3,540 m

A day of rest or visit to Ice Lake, visit Milarepa cave, or easy hiking for acclimatization.


Day 7. Letdar: 4,250 m

Easy trek up to Tenki Village. Trail further to Ghunsa and further to Yak Kharka. Ascend after Yak Kharka to Chuli Letdar. Trek to Letdar.

Day 8. High camp: 4,750 m

Trek to High Camp. Stay?

Day 9. Thorang la: 5,416 m-Muktinath: 3,800 m

Trek to Thorang La, one of the highest passes in the world. Reach Muktinath.

Day 10. Tatopani: 2,474 m

Drive to Tatopani

  4 hours


Day 11. Ghorepani: 2,900 m

Trek to Ghorepani.

  5-6 hours


Day 12. Chuile: 2,300 m

Trek to Chuile.  

  5-6 hours


Day 13. Banuwa: 2,170 m

Trek to Banuwa.

  5-6 hours


Day 14.

Trek to Deurali.  

  5-6 hours


Day 15. ABC: 4,130 m

Trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Stay?

  6-7 hours


Day 16. Bamboo: 2,310 m

Breakfast at ABC.  Trek back to Bamboo.

  6-7 hours


Day 17. Jhinu Danda: 1,780 m

Trek to Jhinu Danda.

  4-5 hours


Day 18. Pothana: 2,005 m

Trek to Pothana. 

  3-4 hours


Day 19. Pokhara: 820 m

Trek back to Phedi. Drive back to Pokhara

  2-3 hours


Day 20. Kathmandu: 1,400 m

Fly back to Kathmandu. Possibility of sightseeing activities or rest day in Kathmandu.


Day 21. Flight back.

Transfer to the airport in time to fly back home.
