Measured to be harder therefore training for fitness and good health conditions are necessary. The person who are  suffering from asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease or intricate medical conditions hikers are not recommended.

An interesting flight in the mountains will take you to the Everest Trail and the alpine world. It is an enchanting opportunity to experience Everest trekking. Within two weeks, you can reach to vantage viewpoint of Kala Patthar to view some of the most brilliant views of Mount Everest and several mountains around.

The trail follows some of the typical Sherpa villages and ascent to the famous hub of Namche Bazaar. It reaches to the famous monastery before heading towards the highlands over 5,000 m. Each moment is full of impressions of mountains. Far away from urban life, after days of trekking, one reaches the dreamy place of Everest Base Camp. On the way back, you can observe the cultural way of life.

Itinerary - Day by day

Day 1. Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and welcomed by a guide at the airport. Transfer to the hotel where the guide would brief the trekking program. You may have some time, depending upon your time of arrival, to explore areas near to the hotel.

  Drive: 25 minutes

  Kathmandu: 1,400 m


Day 2. City walks

A day of rest or options for sightseeing tours or city walks and enjoy areas around the hotel.

Day 3. Flight to Lukla

Early morning drive to Ramechhap to take a flight of 25-minute flight to Lukla’s interesting airport of Tenzing Hillary Airport. Flights in high altitudes depend highly on weather conditions. Lukla is the gateway to Everest Area. The stunning view of Kwande Peak is the beginning of several mountains we see during the trek. A gentle trek in the Dudh Koshi valley through the rhododendron forest beside Dudh Koshi river. Cross steam of Thade Koshi. Prayer wall (mani walls) are seen during the walk. We trek through the settlement of Ghat and visit a monastery before arriving at Phakding.

Day 4. Arrive at Namche

We prepare for a challenging day of trekking. An enchanting trek through the village of Tok Tok to see the grandeur of Thamserku mountain. Bengar village and Monjo are villages on the way. Enter the area of Sagarmatha National Park, a World Heritage Site (Natural). Trek through Jorsale village and cross the suspension bridge over the icy river from where the majestic sight of Tabuche mountain is seen. Steep trek up for a couple of hours through the pine forest to arrive at Namche.

Ascent 1,100 m and descent 310 m.

  Namche: 3,400 m

Day 5. Mountain sightseeing and pleasure walking

The current Mustang is little free Tibet. Located in the North Himalayan Nepal, the Mustang offers you the Tibetan Buddhist color in the ocher desert landscape. For cyclists, this course is a chalange and a regal at the same time with more excitement.

A day for acclimatization or rest in Namche.
Options for a panoramic view of the highest mountains at 360 from the Tenzing Hillary Park, a famous viewpoint renowned for sunrise on the top of Mt. Everest. After breakfast, hike to the popular village of Khumjung, visit the revered monastery there, and visit Everest View Hotel and back to Namche.

Ascent 400 m and descent 400 m.


Day 6. Reach Tengboche

The day begins with Tenzing Hillary Park from where the tens of snowcapped mountains will mesmerize us. Kwandeka, Kusum Kangaru, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Everest, Lhotse, and others are nice to see. Descend trek to Phunki Tenga is easy in the morning, cross the Dudh Koshi River then steep ascent for with twists and turns through pine and rhododendron forest to Tengboche.  Tengboche has perhaps the finest monastery in eastern Nepal.

Ascent 985 m and descent 600 m.

Day 7. Trek to the village of Deboche

We descend a bit to trek to the village of Deboche where a monastery for nuns can be visited. Trek through pine forest to reach a high suspension bridge and trek further to Pangboche. After Pangboche the mountains are closer and more open. Ama Dablam which is considered to be the most beautiful mountain in Nepal is there to greet us. Further trek to Shomare, where two trails part one towards EBC and the other towards Dingboche. Trek to Dingboche where we are awarded a fantastic view of Island Peak 6,189m and Lhotse (8,516 m).

Ascent 770 m and descent 420 m.

  Trek: 6 hours

  Dingboche: 4,410 m


Day 8. Rest day at Dingboche

A rest day for acclimatization or options to hike to high villages of Imja Tse Valley or Chukhung villages. Views of Mt. Makalu (8,485 m)- fifth highest in the world, Baruntse, Kali, and Island Peak mountains are glorious to see. Hike back to Dingboche to stay.

Ascent 680 m and descent 680 m.

  Hiking: 5 hours

  Dingboche: 4,410 m

  Breakfast/lunch/Dinner


Day 9. Trek to Dughla

An easier day of the trek begins with a trek to Dughla. After lunch, visit Chola Lake or hike around high trails for better acclimatization. Trek slow but steady is an important principle in trekking. The reason to slow down is to acclimatize the body to the environment. On the trail, we are likely to see dusa (yak goat). The mountain views of Tabuche, Ama Dablam, Lobuche West, Chola Tse, and Pumori are strikingly clear.

Ascent 550 m and descent 300 m.

Day 10. Reach Lobuche

Ascend Thokla Pass where a ground of memorial is dedicated to mountaineers who lost their lives during the expeditions. Gradually ascend to reach Lobuche. After lunch, we explore slow-moving Khumbu Glacier and visit International Pyramid Observatory on the way. It is a laboratory station for scientific researches supported by Italy.

Ascent 350 m and descent 50 m. 

  Trek: 3 hours

  Thokla Pass: 4,810 m Lobuche: 4,910 m


Day 11. Pyramid (5050 m) - Gorakshep (5140 m) - EBC (5364 m) - Kala Patthar (5550 m)

Trek over the moraine and cross the mark of 5,000 m. The trail beyond 5,000 m is relatively lateral. Trek over the Kangri Glacier during the trail and cross it. Trek to Gorakshep- high pastureland surrounded by mighty mountains.

 There are two options of destinations to trek. One to Everest Base Camp and the other to Kala Patthar.  Based on weather conditions, the trekking guide will decide which one to choose for the day.

Option A: For EBC further trek over the zigzag ups and downs over the moraine to the famous point of Everest Base Camp.
Option B: Climb up to the viewpoint of Kala Patthar for sunrise or sunset views and the closest view of Mt. Everest just below the towering Pumori.

Ascent 650 m and descent 400 m.

  Trek: 3-4 hours

  Pyramid: 5,050 m Gorakshep 5,140 m EBC: 5,364 m Kala Patthar: 5,550 m

Day 12. Trek back to Pheriche

Continue with one of the options. Trek back the same way descending crossing Lobuche and Dughla to Pheriche.

Ascent 500 m and descent 1300 m. (Option A - EBC)  Ascent 600 m and descent 1400 m. (Option B- Kala Patthar)

  Trek: 7-8 hours

  Pheriche: 4,371 m


Day 13. Phortse - Sherpa Village

Trek downwards to Pangboche. Visit Pangboche Monastery which is considered the oldest monastery in the Khumbu Valley. As we trek we are likely to see animal life during the day. Himalayan tahr, yak, and the national bird of Danfe can be seen. The route is relatively narrow and challenging. It is advisable to trek more carefully during the route.

Phortse is a typical Sherpa village and a place to closely observe the traditional village life and the people of Sherpa.

Ascent 250 m and descent 700 m.

  Trek: 5-6 hours

  Phortse: 3,810 m


Day 14. Free time in Namche

Descend trek to Phortse Tenga to cross the Dudh Koshi River then ascend to Mong La and descend further to Namche. There are possibilities to see Himalayan Deer (Kasturi) and Himalayan Monal (Danfe). As we trek, we rejoin to the Everest Main Trail to reach to Namche. Namche is the sparkling Sherpa capital. Namche has been a place for many trekkers to celebrate trekking achievements and to buy souvenirs. Free time in Namche.

Ascent 200 m and descent 800 m.

  Trek: 5 hours

  Namche: 3,440 m

  Breakfast


Day 15. Reach Lukla

The final day of Everest Trekking begins with a steep descent through the pine forest to Monjo and Phakding and reach Lukla.

Lukla is a place to celebrate the great trek experienced with the trekking team. We may offer to leave trekking gears we don’t need to our trekking team. It may be a generous gesture to those who cannot afford to buy such.

Ascent 350 m and descent 1,100 m.

  Trek: 6-7 hours

  Lukla: 2,860 m

  Dinner


Day 16. Back to Ramechhap

Time to say goodbye to the trekking crew. Flight to Ramechap and drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

Flight time: 25 minutes

  Drive: 4-5 hours

  Ramechhap: 474 m


Day 17. Rest in Kathmandu

Options for sightseeing to World Heritage Sites/ayurvedic massage or rest in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Valley has, perhaps, the densest concentration of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Seven UNESCO WHS of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Boudhha, Pashupati, Patan Durbar Square, Swoyambhu, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Changu Narayan Temple are framed within 400 sq km. Exploring three UNESCO WHS are comfortably possible in day.


Day 18. Back home

Transfer to the airport in time to fly back home.
