Firfire village an attractive tourist destination that falls in the Millennium Trek. There are 819 houses in Firfire of Dulegauda Municipality-2, Tanahun. Gurung majority lives in the village.

Tourist's attractions including the millenium cave and the ruins of an old palace are found in the region. There are ruins of Rani Kuwa, Tundikhel, prison, Taksar, Chowki and other heritages of the Thakuri dynasty.

The village is also popular for mountain beauty. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Lamjung mountains can be seen from the village. The blend of nature and history including fragrance of Gurung lifestyle and rich culture can be witnessed.

Firfire can be reached by observing the Rock Garden and visiting the Dhor Barah. Tourism experts named the cave as Millennium Cave in 2000. 'Millennium trek' from Dulegaunda on the Prithvi Highway to Syangja was launched at the same year.

There are three community homestays in Firfire area. There are 25 beds in 10 houses of Dhor Lama village which has been operating since 2018. There is a facility to accommodate guests in 11 houses of Millennium Community Homestay and 8 houses of Gharedi Community Homestay. Each houses has two beds.

At the request of guests, the villagers performs dance in Salaijo and Jhyaure tunes.

Access

Dulegaunda 176 km via Kathmandu-Damauli, reachable in 5 hours by bus. Or Kathmandu-Pokhara by flight takes 25 minutes. Pokhara-Dulegouda 26 km. Cave is at a distance of 21 km from Dulegaunda.
